Who these terms are for
These terms apply whenever you submit loose LEGO® DUPLO® to Big Block Exchange for sale. By submitting through our website, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email hello@bigblockexchange.co.uk before you send anything.
What we buy
We buy genuine, loose LEGO Duplo by weight only. Clone-brand bricks (Mega Bloks, ELC and similar), regular-size LEGO, and any other toys mixed in are not covered by our offer. Anything that isn't genuine Duplo is set aside during checking, isn't paid for, and isn't returned — so please check what you're sending before you post it.
How pricing works
The instant offer shown on our homepage is an estimate based on the weight you enter. It is not a final, binding price. Once we receive and weigh your parcel, we confirm the exact weight and final offer by email. If the confirmed weight or contents differ from what you told us, the final offer may differ from the estimate.
Our per-kilo rate and minimum weight to sell may change at any time, effective for new offers only.
Accepting or declining an offer
You're never obligated to accept a confirmed offer. If you decline, we'll return your Duplo to you free of charge. If we don't hear back from you within a reasonable time after sending a confirmed offer, we may treat it as accepted or ask you to confirm before proceeding.
Sending your Duplo
Once you accept an offer, we'll email a free prepaid postage label. You're responsible for packaging your Duplo securely (see our packaging guide) and sending it within a reasonable time — currently 5 days — of accepting. Items lost or damaged in transit due to inadequate packaging are not our responsibility.
Payment
Once we've received, weighed, and confirmed your Duplo matches what was described, we pay within 2 days by bank transfer to an account you provide.
Ownership
By submitting Duplo to us, you confirm that you own it and have the right to sell it.
Our right to decline
We may decline to purchase, or return, any submission at our discretion — for example if the contents don't match what was described, aren't genuine LEGO Duplo, or raise concerns about ownership.
Liability
We aim to handle every submission carefully, but we don't accept liability for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited, such as for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you submit your Duplo is the one that applies to that transaction.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
